School Programme

The Twenty Ten Club is excited to unveil the Interview an Entrepreneur programme, providing the opportunity for pupils of all ages to interview Black female business role models they admire.

The Twenty Ten Club is an award-winning organisation committed to connecting, inspiring and supporting Black female entrepreneurs and the enterprising women of the future.

Named one of the UK’s leading social enterprises at the Future 100 awards, the Twenty Ten Club was also a Best Business Blog finalist at the 2010 Black Weblog Awards in America.

The Twenty Ten Club is currently inviting schools to apply to take part in the 2011-2012 Interview an Entrepreneur programme.

How it works

The Twenty Ten Club Interview an Entrepreneur programme invites pupils to take over the reins of the award-winning Twenty Ten Club website.

Participating schools will have the opportunity to nominate a team of pupils to conduct interviews with Black female business role models they admire. The interviews will then be published on the Twenty Ten Club site along with profiles on the participating schools and their student journalists.

Recent examples of interviews conducted by school pupils include:

The Interview an Entrepreneur school programme includes:

  • Feature interviews with inspiring Black female entrepreneurs, conducted by the participating school, published on the award-winning Twenty Ten Club website.
    • A special feature on the participating school and pupils with photos and links to the school’s website.
    • The opportunity for pupils to participate in the publication of 1, 3 or 9 distinct feature interviews with Black female business role models.
  • Editorial guidance from the Twenty Ten Club on interview techniques and feature creation.
  • Certificates of achievement from the Twenty Ten Club acknowledging the pupils participation in the programme.

The Interview an Entrepreneur school programme fees start from £350. The programme is open to pupils of all ages and backgrounds. Following completion of the programme application form, the participating school children will be nominated and selected by their own schools.
