Elevation Networks is an award winning charity established by students to tackle youth employment challenges.
Elevation Networks specialises in assisting companies with the development of diversity recruitment strategies and enabling young people to enhance their employability in the labour market.
The organisation, which began as an idea amongst friends, encompasses a network of 10,000 students and recent graduates from across the country.
Chief executive Barbara Soetan is a founding member of the organisation, launched in 2006 by Samuel Kasumu at Brunel University. Headquartered in London, Elevation Networks became a registered charity in February 2009 and employs a core team of six, supported by over 70 volunteers.
Aged just 25, Barbara Soetan is an accomplished social campaigner and advocate, serving as an international consultant and speaker on youth participation, leadership and employment.

Fresh Aspirations is a social enterprise designed to help people look at their life in a new way, see and seek new possibilities and become their ultimate self.
Founded by BBC presenter turned entrepreneur Genelle Aldred, Fresh Aspirations was founded in Birmingham in November 2011.
Strut To Success is the company’s first project providing school workshops for young women centred on enhancing self-esteem and aspirations.

Youth Can Achieve
Youth Can Achieve is an organisation designed to provide aspiration, long term motivation and support to vulnerable young people aged from 7 to 30 years.
Based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, Youth Can Achieve was founded by award-winning social entrepreneur Nikki Sharpe, who also serves as a full-time lawyer and councillor.
Named Extraordinary Woman of the Year and a recipient of the Investors in Children Award in 2010, Nikki also received a Leadership in the Community award from the Network of Aspiring Women in 2011.

Reel Beauty, Inc.
Based in Chicago Illinois, Reel Beauty Inc provides self-esteem workshops to aid young women in becoming productive citizens within their environment, as they rediscover their beauty inside and out.
Reel Beauty, Inc has mentored over 500 girls to date. Their outreach in the community has impacted the lives of young girls throughout the city of Chicago.
As a result, Reel Beauty, Inc has landed partnerships with numerous organizations including Chicago Public Schools, Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Indiana, Clear Channel Communications and Louis Vuitton.
Founded in 2004 by Deida Massey, a makeup artist in the beauty, fashion, music and entertainment industries, the organisation employs 10 consultants, 2 volunteers and 5 board members.
As a makeup artist, Deida was selected to work on Oprah Winfrey’s Legends Ball in 2005, a three-day celebration honoring twenty-five African American women from the fields of art, entertainment and civil rights.
Deida is one of the featured contributors in The Legacy Letters anthology, created by Lisa Nicole Bell and in June 2011 Reel Beauty launched their international program in Mwanza, Tanzania.

PJ’s Community Service
PJ’s Community Service is a social enterprise that provides care services for vulnerable adults, education services for young people and business training for entrepreneurs.
Based in Thornton Heath, London, the organisation employs a team of 40 and owns facilities that include five music studios, a nursery, office space and a dance studio.
Director Claudine Reid has served as a Social Enterprise Ambassador for the Cabinet Office and was named one of the Top 100 Most Entrepreneurial Women in the UK by the Royal Bank of Scotland.
In 2008, Claudine was awarded an MBE in recognition of her services to the community.
Claudine Reid has been exclusively interviewed by year 7 St Matthew Academy students Kia-Miami, India-Rose, Jennifer, Kyra-Jade, Candice and Zoe, as part of the Twenty Ten Club’s Interview an Entrepreneur school programme.
