The Believe2Achieve event, held in association with The Department of Business Innovation & Skills, Inspire>Aspire London 2012, Urban Synergy, Colorblind cards and the Twenty Ten Club, featured a group of inspirational speakers.

Twenty Ten Club joins Government Ministers to advocate youth enterprise

On Tuesday November 15, as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, the Twenty Ten Club participated in a youth enterprise event hosted by Mosaic at the Government Department for Business Innovation & Skills.

Cabinet ministers Dr Vince Cable, Secretary of State for Business Innovation & Skills and Eric Pickles, Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government joined a group of entrepreneurs to answer questions from students at the special event designed to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs.

Twenty Ten Club founder Octavia Goredema and members Deborah Millington of RedBorder, Remi Ray of Trapped In A Skinny World and Lola Atkins of EWAV Works spent the day sharing their experiences of starting and running a business with the attending students from Brondesbury College for Boys, Crest Boys Academy, Westminster City School and Southfields Community College.

Yes We Can! event empowers students

What happens when a Hollywood Actress, a Secret Millionaire and a Chef to the Stars go back to school?

On October 6, members of the Twenty Ten Club headed to St Matthew Academy in Lewisham to support a special event, titled “Yes We Can!” in celebration of Black History Month. The event brought together an inspiring line up of speakers, including Hollywood actress Naomie Harris, star of Channel 4′s “Secret Millionaire” property developer Caroline Marsh and the Head Chef of The Ivy restaurant Gary Lee, to meet a packed auditorium of students and guests.

Network of Aspiring Women Awards Finalist

Twenty Ten Club founder Octavia Goredema

Twenty Ten Club founder Octavia Goredema has been shortlisted for a Leadership in the Community award at this year’s Network of Aspiring Women Awards.

Founded by Jo Cameron of The Apprentice, the Network of Aspiring Women Awards celebrate the achievements of leading women from across the UK.

This year’s panel of judges includes Dragon’s Den star Rachel Elnaugh, Secret Millionaire Gill Fielding, B.Hive founder Lynne Franks and former rally driver and TV presenter Penny Mallory.

The Twenty Ten Club strives to connect, inspire and support Black female entrepreneurs and the enterprising women of the future.
