When did you start your business?
The company was started in 1992 by my husband; I joined in 1995 and married the director in 1996.
What was your inspiration for starting your business?
I was motivated to empower people.
How did you build up your business?
We just took one day at a time – developing strategies, networking with people that could give us good advice and by keeping expenditure to a minimum.
Who has supported your career?
My mum and my husband.
Where were you born?
I was born in Kent in the United Kingdom.
Where did you go to school and did you like school?
I went to school in Croydon. Coloma was a brilliant school when I was there. I liked school and I never really have any major issues to deal with.
Who has inspired you in your career?
My mum – she taught me to never settle for average. My husband also encouraged me to be the best that I can be.
What are your goals and ambitions for the future?
In the next 2-4 years we will be opening a training academy for social entrepreneurs. We are in the process of developing an alternative provision for young people that are struggling at school and I would also love to develop a radio station in about 5 years time.
