Ohema Ohene is a fashion brand for both men and women, specialising in clothing which is quintessentially British but with an African twist.
Based in London, Ohema Ohene uses textiles and prints more commonly used in West Africa.
Founded in 2008 by designer Abenaa Pokuaa, the company name Ohema Ohene means “Queen & King” in the Ghanaian language of Twi, in reference to Abenaa’s Ghanaian heritage.

Boogles provide a variety of bookkeeping services and products including training, books and franchise opportunities, all designed to help small business owners manage their accounts and reduce their costs.
Lisa Newton won the Young Entrepreneur of The Year award at the Precious Awards in 2007 and an Enterprising Business award in 2008. Lisa is a supporter of women’s enterprise and serves as an Ambassador for Enterprising Women.
Boogles was founded in 2004 and employs a team of 20.

PJ’s Community Service is a social enterprise that provides care services for vulnerable adults, education services for young people and business training for entrepreneurs.
Based in Thornton Heath, London, the organisation employs a team of 40 and owns facilities that include five music studios, a nursery, office space and a dance studio.
Director Claudine Reid has served as a Social Enterprise Ambassador for the Cabinet Office and was named one of the Top 100 Most Entrepreneurial Women in the UK by the Royal Bank of Scotland.
In 2008, Claudine was awarded an MBE in recognition of her services to the community.
Claudine Reid has been exclusively interviewed by year 7 St Matthew Academy students Kia-Miami, India-Rose, Jennifer, Kyra-Jade, Candice and Zoe, as part of the Twenty Ten Club’s Interview an Entrepreneur school programme.

Based in Essex, Urbantopia Books was founded by Ola Laniyan Amoako in 2009 and employs a team of five.
The company’s aim is to diversify the books found on shelves in homes, schools and libraries.
Urbantopia Books was a Smarta Awards winner in 2010 and was named Creative Business of the Year at the Precious Awards that same year.
