Meet Daniella Genas

Aspire4u is an event management and youth training community interest company based in Digbeth, Birmingham.

The company co-ordinates professional corporate and community events in addition to running an artist management service matching creative talent with events and promoters.

Aspire4u uses the profitable income generated to provide training and vocational work experience opportunities for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Founded by Daniella Genas in 2007, Aspire4u employs a team of six, soon to expand to a team of eight in the coming weeks.

Daniella is a visiting lecturer at Birmingham City University and currently features in a year-long BBC Radio 4 series following the progress of three female entrepreneurs over the course of the year.

Congratulations Vanessa Wallace!

I’d like to give a very special shout out to our fellow Twenty Ten Club member Vanessa Wallace, who has received a “Unsung Women” award from Haringey council.

Each year Haringey recognises local women who have made an outstanding contribution to life in the borough.

Vanessa is the owner of Lovely Gorgeous Things, a company that produces vegan friendly, handmade skincare products using natural and nature inspired quality ingredients.

Meet Natalie Lawrence

Natalie Lawrence is a London based freelance photographer, specialising in corporate portrait, events, fashion and beauty.

A previous winner of Photography Monthly magazine’s Shoot the Front Cover competition, Natalie Lawrence works with her clients to produce high-quality photographs that stand out when promoting and marketing their businesses.

Recent client commissions include corporate portraits for the British Council for School Environments and a fashion shoot for designers House of Abeytu.

A special day featuring very special women

Tuesday March 8 is a day I won’t forget in a hurry. To celebrate International Women’s Day, the Twenty Ten Club had the opportunity to go back to school. Twice.

It was an action packed day with 9 tube/train journeys criss-crossing London; stimulating workshops; team work; presentations; profit and loss sheets; honest, heartfelt speeches; fantastic company and the opportunity to connect with some amazing women, the majority of whom were 15 years old and under.
